Teens with Congenitally Missing Teeth

Dear Patients,

I recently gave a presentation to a group of doctors in Dallas on “incorporating implants into your orthodontic practice”. This is due to the large number of teens coming to our practices with congenitally missing teeth. Many of these young adults are missing their upper laterals, or the teeth on either side of their front teeth, or they are missing their bicuspids which are just behind your canines. the problem lies in that any orthodontic treatment that is traditionally done involves compressing the arches or treating the situation as an extraction case. This results in very narrow arches, unesthetic smiles, and TMJ problems. By initializing implants to replace the missing teeth we are able to treat the case in our modern orthopedic manner. This results in superior esthetics and healthy jaw joints.

If you or someone you love has questions about orthodontics or implant treatment, please call our office for a complimentary consultation.

Sincerely,

Michael W. Dagostino, D.D.S.
