Osteogen

Dear Patients,

“A pessimist sees the difficulty in every opportunity, an optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty.” ~ Unknown

There is occasion in dental surgery where we must augment (graft) the patient’s bone. Over the last century many different techniques for bone grafting have been attempted. I have used many of these techniques with varying degrees of success. Back in 1995 I met a doctor who introduced me to a synthetic bone he had invented. Osteogen is a highly crystalline osteoconductive bioactive and resorbable calcium apatite bone graft material. This material has allowed me to enhance, augment and supplement areas of bone defects that few materials are capable of doing. The beauty of this material is that it is reasonably priced, easy to manipulate, and turns over quickly to become solid bone without the potential of infectious diseases as is possible with cadaver bone. We exclusively use osteogen in our practice with tremendous success.

If you or someone you love has questions about bone grafting or graft materials, please contact our office.

Sincerely,

Michael W. Dagostino, DDS
